JCCC EMS Announces an EMT Scope of Practice Transition Course

to be held on the JCCC Campus.

Course Description

This course is designed to bridge existing Kansas certified emergency medical technicians to the new scope of practice as approved by Kansas for emergency medical technician. The course is built and delivered on the foundation of existing knowledge for the Kansas emergency medical technician. Successful completion of this course is required in order to bridge to the new level of certification as defined by the Kansas EMS scope of practice.

 

Course Length

The course length is 28 to 30 hours. This course counts towards the requirements for

recertification of existing Kansas certified providers who are transitioning to the level of emergency medical technician. 28 total hours of recertification is required of EMTs in a 2-year cycle.

Cost: $150.00 before July 2^nd $199 on or after July 2nd
